Slumped
Since I finished The Shawl, I’ve kind of been in a slump. I’ve not been terribly in much of a mood to knit, honestly. Sure, I’ve done the bags (7 of them, with two more in the wings), and I’ve gotten out some smaller projects. I’m working on a pair of socks for Leon. I’ve gotten closer to the end of a pullover poncho for a friend. I’m planning on finishing a sweater for another friend and another for myself. There’s also a super secret pattern that I’m designing and knitting for a fabulous friend, who deserves to have it before it gets cold (or at least as cold as it gets in her area). I’m also going to make several Baby Surprise Jackets, because I have three — THREE! — friends who are pregnant, and I have a ton of sock and DK weight yarn to use up. Also, I’ll be getting, at some point, some good yarn to make myself a Cobblestone Sweater (AKA the Male Clapotis), because it’ll be easy and it looks awesome. Somewhere in there, I’m hoping to design a couple of sweaters or vests, because there are far too few patterns out there for men, and the only way we’ll get more is to make ‘em ourselves. Hopefully, the slump will end, and I can get back to the fabulous. Though reading this, it doesn’t seem like a lot of slumping, does it?
